About vCPD

vCPD was set up in 2010 by two UK qualified veterinary surgeons who realised there was a need within the profession for great quality, but also great value, CPD for both vets and vet nurses.

We provide courses in a wide range of subjects, taught by experienced and highly qualified professionals, that are relevant to real life in practice.

We are based in a central location in the West Midlands with fantastic transport links and plenty of free parking.

Cat Henstridge

Cat qualified from Bristol University in 2003 and after a stint working in Thailand at a neutering clinic, started working in a large small animal hospital in the West Midlands.

In November 2008 she became a freelance locum and has since worked in a wide range of practices, from small single handed clinics to large multi-disciplinary referral hospitals.

This has given her a good understanding of the variety of our profession and what benefits the first opinion vet and vet nurse.

She is also the resident vet for the social networking site www.petstreet.co.uk, writes regular articles of pet advice for various outlets and recently presented the show Animal Madhouse on Channel 4. She gained her CertGP (SAM) in 2007.

Dave Hough

Dave graduated from Bristol Vet School in 2003 and started his first job on his home turf in Lancashire.

He then moved to Shropshire, working first as a mixed vet in a rural practice and then as a small animal vet in a busy veterinary hospital.

• He particularly enjoys dealing with surgical cases and helping with nurse training. In his spare time he is a keen rugby player and gardener.
